Prayer with Presence and Power

Prayer with the presence and power of God is one responsibility of the Ekklesia that the Lord said He would build. Prayer alone (seeking God for something) does not fulfill the mandate to occupy and govern until Christ returns. Declarations and spiritual warfare according to the will of God is included in Kingdom activity.

Disciples of Jesus are to engage the culture and society for the sake of the Kingdom. Our promise is that the Gates of Hades will not prevail against us. Yet how many believers actively participate in the effort to bring righteousness into our lives? We need to discover how to take dominion over our lives and the area in which we live.

We will begin to explore the authority under which we operate, the source of power and how we access it, and how we are to operate in the presence of God. This week we will look at a series of videos by Dutch Sheets that address these issues. There are revelation moments, enlightening teaching, and inspirational words for us in these videos.

I will be providing my notes here that I made while watching the videos for a second time. In taking the notes I realized how much information I missed the first time through. These videos are worth looking at more deeply than a quick once over. I will also provide links to the videos as well as links to the site that has the notes from Dutch Sheets.

Almighty God wants the assembly of His children to be a House of Prayer.

Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Isaiah 56:7 KJV

Jesus reiterated that the temple, or house of the God, was to be a house of prayer. This was important enough to be recorded in three of the four gospels. We would do well to pay attention to this topic.

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Matthew 21:13 KJV

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Mark:11:17 KJV

Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Luke 19:46 KJV

The Ekklesia to fulfill the desire of God to be a house of prayer. Of course, we do not want to become a den of thieves.
